What is Total Commander Ultima Prime?

This is an extended version of Total Commander.
Total Commander Ultima Prime is a collection of the software and customized settings sets gathered in one installation package for enhancing Total Commander (file manager) possibilities.
It contains extended main menu and toolbar, other programs, numerous plugins, changed layout and other elements.

New release brings hex editor application called HxD.
Using this tool you can edit raw disk data, RAM's content or providing files modifications.

Our project gained installer enhancements also.
It is now possible to install TC UP as an update for older versions.
Please remember, that this feature is something new and some errors might still occur.
In the case of bugs or ideas for making this one better, please, give us an information about on forum board.


Traditionally: few applications and plugins have been updated to the newest versions.

Added "HxD" hex editor - thanks to Mael Horz for agreement to add this to the project.

Added possibility to update TC UP (saves previous configuration).

"Artweaver" has been updated to the newest version (0.5.2).

"Free Download Manager" has been updated to the newest version (2.5 build 758).

"IcoFX" has been updated to the newest version (1.6.1).

"Miranda IM" has been updated to the newest version (0.8.0 alpha build #15 Unicode).

"Notepad++" has been updated to the newest version (4.9.2).

"Sumatra PDF" has been updated to the newest version (0.8.1).

"The KMPlayer" has been updated to the newest version (2.9.3.1431).

"Universal Extractor" has been updated to the newest version (1.6 BETA Virtual_ManPL MOD).

"WinContig" has been updated to the newest version (0.80).

"XnView" has been updated to the newest version (1.93.6).

Various plugins have been updated.

Known bugs has been corrected.



Here is a tip for users of Total Commander Ultima Prime.

Want to see in status bar the current folder size and number of files and directories?
Do this:
Close Total Commander Ultima Prime.
Edit with Notepad the file wincmd.ini (c:\Program Files\TC UP\wincmd.ini) and change LongInStatus=1 to LongInStatus=0
Save the file and close, now run Total Commander Ultima Prime and voila now you see the useful info in status bar.

When you want to see the size of a folder (without enter into it or click properties) just select the folder and press space on keyboard.

If you’d like to see and try our solution, you can download it from our servers and discuss about it on our forum’s board. We provide our customization work as freeware in the form as it is but please remember, that Total Commander itself is distributed as shareware.
