1: Kiếm xèng:
Trọng tâm của mọi cuộc chiến tranh là xèng, ko có xèng thì ko xây được quân đội chứ đừng nói là duy trì quân đội. Vậy làm sao để có nhiều xèng như thế kia? Lại ở mức khó nhất nữa?
Trả lời xin được tách riêng thành từng mục sau:
Thuế: thuế là điểm khởi đầu để kiếm xèng, thuế cao dân đông thì nhiều xèng.
Thu hoạch: phụ thuộc vào khả năng nông nghiệp tại địa phương, phát triển nông trại sẽ tăng thu hoạch theo cấp số cộng.
Buôn bán: buôn bán là cách duy nhất để kiếm CỰC KỲ nhiều xèng, chủ yếu lợi nhuận có được là do buôn bán trên biển.

Phân tích:
Thuế: chiếm khoảng 30-40% lợi nhuận của một thành phố lớn, 50-70% của một thành phố vừa và nhỏ. Để có thể đánh thuế cao, thì an ninh phải tốt, vì thuế càng cao thì ảnh hưởng bất lợi đến an ninh càng cao. Nói chung, thuế ngon nhất khi tăng được khoảng 25% so với mức thành phố tiếp theo. Vì vậy, nói chung nếu bạn ko có ý định làm một thành phố quân sự, thì nên dừng lại ở 18000 dân đối với các thành phố gần thủ đô, 10000 dân cho các thành phố bắt đầu có vấn đề về khoảng cách tới thủ đô, và dưới 7000 dân cho các thành phố rất xa thủ đô.

Thu hoạch: chiếm khoảng 30% ở các thành phố nhỏ, 10-15% ở các thành phố lớn, nâng cấp nông trại ko chỉ làm tăng thu nhập, tăng tốc độ thêm dân số, mà còn tăng cả an ninh. Tuy vậy, đây thật sự là con dao 2 lưỡi. Nếu bạn quá mải mê xây nông trại, hậu quả là bạn sẽ có bùng nổ dân số về khoảng cuối game, đây là một vấn đề đau đầu cho tất cả mọi người, vì vậy hãy cẩn thận... đừng mờ mắt vì chút xèng còm mà quên mất hậu quả.

Buôn bán: chiếm khoảng 45-60% thu nhập của một thành phố lớn, đôi lúc có thể lên đến ~65-70%, ở các thành phố vừa và nhỏ thì con số này khiêm tốn hơn, 15-40%. Nhưng đây là nguồn thu chính của bất kỳ đế quốc nào. Buôn bán ko ảnh hưởng gì đến an ninh hay gia tăng dân số. Vì thế tập trung vào buôn bán là có ít hại nhất. Các phương thức kiếm xèng qua buôn bán dựa chủ yếu vào chợ các loại, đường xá và cảng. Nâng cấp đường đi lại và chợ sẽ tăng cường thu nhập trên đường bộ. Còn nâng cấp cảng, mỗi lần nâng cấp sẽ mở ra một tuyến buôn bán mới, tối đa là 4 tuyến. Bạn không được chọn đối tác mà máy tính sẽ tự động chọn tuyến lãi nhất có thể hộ bạn.
Vậy là sao để khuyến khích tối đa buôn bán? Xin thưa là ngoài nâng cấp như điên các thành phố kiếm xèng (ko phải trung tâm quân sự) ra, thì bạn phải đi ký kết hiệp ước buôn bán với các quốc gia khác, tốt nhất là cho 1,2 con diplomat đi khắp nơi, có ai ký nấy (trừ bọn nổi loạn, ko ký được). Sau đó thì xèng sẽ vào như nước, xèng ra từ từ. Đặc biệt, các thành phố có voi, sắt, thuốc nhuộm, bạc là những thành phố ngon nhất, hãy nhắm cách chiếm các nơi này càng nhanh càng tốt và phát triển chúng nếu có thể.
