PowerArchiver cung cấp công cụ lưu trữ, nén/giải nén file ở mức độ “đặc biệt”, hơn hẳn các tiện ích nén thông dụng như WinZIP, WinRAR…
PowerArchiver hỗ trợ hầu hết các định dạng file nén: ZIP, 7-ZIP, CAB, LHA (LZH), TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.BZ2, BH, RAR, ARJ, ARC, ACE, ZOO, GZ, BZIP2, XXE, MIME, UUE và yENC. Phần mềm còn cho phép xem được hơn 18 định dạng ảnh khác nhau, khả năng tuỳ biến 6 ngôn ngữ, và có giao diện đơn giản, cho phép người dùng có thể nhanh chóng lĩnh hội tất cả các tính năng điều khiển.
PowerArchiver có thể tạo ra và tương tác với các loại file lưu trữ ở mọi dung lượng; tăng tốc độ nén và giải nén file…
