Ấn tượng về bản Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview 4 (cũng là bản Platform Preview cuối cùng trước khi lên đời Beta): duyệt web nhanh hơn, tính tương thích với các tiêu chuẩn web mới tốt hơn và hiển thị các phần tử HTML5 cũng chính xác hơn.
Trong bài test Acid3 (kiểm tra khả năng tương thích của trình duyệt web với các tiêu chuẩn web mới nhất), Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview 4 (IE9 Platform Preview 4) đã gần đạt đỉnh với điểm số 95/100, nhiều hơn 12 điểm so với bản IE9 Platform Preview 3.

Ở bài test hiển thị chính xác các phần tử HTML5, điểm số của IE9 Platform Preview 4 là 96 và 3 điểm thưởng, so với 84 và 1 điểm thưởng của bản IE9 Platform Preview 3.

Trong khi đó, kết quả chẩn đoán hiệu năng xử lý JavaScript với dịch vụ SunSpider cho thấy, IE9 Platform Preview 4 (547.6 miligiây) đã qua mặt cả Firefox 4.0 Beta 2 (852.2 miligiây) và Opera 10.70 Build 3468 Development Snapshot (581.2 miligiây), chỉ chậm hơn Google Chrome 6.0.472.0 Dev (466.4miligiây) 81,2 miligiây.

... và của Google Chrome 6.0.472.0 Dev Ngoài ra, IE9 Platform Preview 4 cũng được Microsoft khắc phục hàng tá lỗi còn tồn tại trong phiên bản trước.

Với những cải tiến “chậm mà chắc” cho các bản IE9 Platform Previewtrong thời gian qua, chúng ta có thể hy vọng bản IE9 Beta mà Microsoft trình làng vào tháng 9 tới đây còn chứa đựng nhiều điều đáng nói hơn nữa.

Internet Explorer 9 Platform 1.9.7916.6000 Preview 4

The Platform Preview is an early look at the Internet Explorer 9 platform so some features are incomplete, some may change, and some may be added. Microsoft asks that you refrain from providing feedback on features where noted that they are either partially implemented or not available. Microsoft is aware of their condition and will provide updates in future releases. Similarly, for known issues, Microsoft is also aware of their existence and are actively working on them.

Using and setting the home page. The default home page of the Platform Preview is the Internet Explorer 9 Test Drive site, which you can use to see demos for and information about the new Internet Explorer 9 platform. You can press F10 at any time to go to your home page. To change your homepage, right click the Internet Explorer Platform Preview icon in the Start menu and choose Properties. In the Target field on the Shortcut tab add your home page URL to the end of the path.
