Set approximately 50–60 years after the events of Fable II, the continent of Albion, where the Fable series is set, is currently under the control of Logan, a corrupt, tyrannical king. Logan's sibling, the "Hero", you and the playable character, is forced into a quest to become a revolutionary leader to defeat the king after an "injustice" happens to their parent, the previous ruler of Albion,your Fable 2 character, believed to be killed at the hands of Logan. Over the course of the first half of the game, the Hero will gain the people of Albion's support, overthrow Logan and become ruler of Albion him/herself.

During the second half of the game, the player will have to choose whether or not to follow up on promises made to the public, which were made during gameplay, at the risk of losing Albion's approval. While dealing with this, the player will also be faced with the possibility of war when "Aurora", a neighboring country, begins to threaten Albion.

Standard Edition

• Xbox 360 The Standard Edition available on Xbox 360 contains the standard game disk, a game manual and standard plastic casing. Lionhead Studios' Peter Molyneux announced as well, that Fable III will also (like Fable II) be released in episodes on Xbox Live Marketplace, some time after the retail version will hit the market. The first episode will be available free of charge.
• PC There will also be a PC version released, both a retail version and a Games for Windows – LIVE exclusive downloadable release through Games on Demand

Nắm rõ thông tin rồi hẵng nói bạn ơi Fable 1 cho PC, Fable 2 cho XBOX360, Fable 3 tuy không ra mắt ngày 26/10 chung với XBOX360 nhưng chỉ tạm hoãn phát hành chứ không phải không có trên PC đâu nhé, ở trên cũng đang chờ Update đó thôi ...

Theo lời của người phát ngôn Microsoft thì phiên bản PC của Fable III không phát hành cùng với phiên bản Xbox 360 vào ngày 26 tháng 10 sắp tới.

Các nhà phát triển giải thích rằng họ cần thời gian để tối ưu cho mỗi hệ thống và hiện tại ngày phát hành cho phiên bản PC vẫn chưa được thông báo.

Hy vọng qua thời gian chờ đợi, người dùng PC sẽ được thưởng thức Fable III một cách hoàn chỉnh hơn là một bản "port" (chuyển thể) với đầy lỗi mà các game chuyển từ console sang PC thường gặp.
