Screensaver Mode
New in Version 10 is the ability to activate O&O Defrag whenever Windows has activated its screensaver. As soon as the screensaver is ended by the user, defragmentation is paused. Continuing defragmentation at a later time is always possible since O&O Defrag can detect where it last left off. This mode enables to you to defragment your hard disk only when the computer is not in use, such as during your lunch hour or simply when you are away from your desk. This feature can be activated remotely for all computers on a network.
Power Management for Notebooks
The O&O IntelligentPowerControl technology was developed to specifically respond of the needs of mobile systems. As soon as your notebook is removed from the external power supply and is operating on its own battery, O&O Defrag 10 switches to pause mode, halting all defragmentation in the process. This ensures that no battery power will be consumed while defragging your hard disk, allowing you to get your work done at full power. Reconnecting your notebook to an external power source will automatically signal O&O Defrag 10 to continue its defragmentation.

* CD-ROM drive for installation (not required for the downloaded version)

Software
* O&O Defrag 10 Professional Edition is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000 Professional. The Professional Edition cannot be used on Windows 2003/2000 servers.
* O&O Defrag 10 Professional Edition and O&O Defrag 10 Server Edition can both be administered comfortably over the network using the O&O Defrag Network Manager in the O&O Defrag10 Server Edition.
* O&O Defrag 10 supports AMD 64bit and Intel EM64T. Intel Itanium-Processors are not supported!
