ZXA Tunes is a Japan-Exclusive remix album of the music in Rockman ZX Advent. It is the second in line of remastered releases in the Mega Man ZX series. Track one of Ashe's disc and tracks five and thirteen feature vocal work. Track fourteen on Grey's disc fatures a remix of the music in the ZXA mini-game Rockman a (antique). It uses NES-like sounds, very much like the NES Mega Man titles.

If you love Mega Man music and you love rock music then you've just died and gone to rock heaven (say hi to Jim Morrison). This soundtrack features choice tunes from throughout Mega Man 1~6 and gives them a heavy rock arrangement. The arrangement and electric guitar are headed up by Tohru Iwao of Guilty Gear fame. Furthermore, short clips of the original NES songs accompany the tracks.

The first of the highly anticipated Remastered Tracks Rockman Zero albums. Though remastered with greater quality samples and recording, most of the songs don't stray too far from their original GBA versions. Some such as Theme of ZERO and For Endless Fight get revamped a bit, but the majority sticks to the GBA sound, which was a little banal to begin with.

The Zero remastered anthology starts taking shape in this second album. Most importantly, Zero 2 simply offered better composed themes to work with. The degree of arrangement is also a step up, and some songs such as Ice Brain and Neo Arcadia II show a bit more color. The four EX tracks are a nice addition too.

Zero's arranged tracks just keep getting better. Some in fact consider this the pinnacle sound of the series, and indeed many of the tracks are rich and well composed. In fact the only thing keeping me from giving this soundtrack a full five is that a few tracks just could have been better, especially Hell's Gate Open. That used to be such a tough, powerful song, and it should have had a similar arrange. For Endless Fight III and Scrapped Beat also could have been better. But for the most part, a great arranged album.

The fourth and final installment of the Zero remastered albums stands out a bit from the others. The tracks are skillful arrangements of the heavily rock influenced Zero 4 game music. The result is something that harks back to the older X series, and it's a pleasure to listen to. The album also features karaoke versions of all the theme songs from Idea, and original music featured in Telos' drama tracks.

Ryuusei no Rockman 3 may be the best soundtrack of the whole series. While the instrumentation choice still has the same spacey and cartoony sound, a lot of the melodies themselves have more of that "game-ish, action oriented" sound. Music for stages and battles are more engaging and catchy, which is likely due to the music being backed by Yoshino Aoki and Akari Kaida, two Battle Network music veterans. The end result is a more enjoyable soundtrack that stays consistent to the series theme.
